Art & Science

My friend, the Biologist, was telling me about how satisfying it is when art and science mix.  She had just been involved in Liz Lerman’s GENOME project and loved having Liz in the room, being her creative, quirky self among the scientists, academics and policy makers.  Her presence made the discussion stronger and juicier.  The Biologist was also very excited about the Light in Winter Festival in Ithaca, NY, yet another example of art and science intersecting.  I loved the conversation because sometimes this topic gets too literal - like making dances about the solar system or something.  I like the focus on the people - the artist, the scientist - and each of us valuing multiple approaches to solving problems, life, conversations, questions.  Anyway, check out the links!
